Award-winning photographer, writer and educator Rita Leistner’s varied career has taken her from academia to war and back again, intersecting the genres of art, photojournalism and literary criticism. Her series Looking for Marshall McLuhan in Afghanistan, was shot using a smartphone and the resulting images were produced as multi-coloured palladium prints by the renowned printer Bob Carnie.

Rita exhibited her work Photoville, Brooklyn, NY in September 2015, and will have a solo exhibition at the Paul Paletti Gallery, Louisville, K.Y
